In addition to our minister, the congregation employs 3 staff members:  a custodian, a music director and an office administrator.  Job description and further information about our current staff members can be found below.

Rev. Carol E. Strecker, Interim Minister

We welcomed our Interim Minister, Rev. Carol E. Strecker, in August, 2017. Carol attended the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, MA and was ordained as a UU minister in 1999. She also has a Master of Social Work from Boston University, working in a variety of settings serving children, youth, and families before attending seminary. Her home is in Cumberland, Maine, where her spouse, Kate, lives and works in the Emergency Department at Maine Medical Center.

Jackie Davis, Interim Music Co-Director

Jackie Davis grew up singing in choirs at First Parish UU Church in Chelmsford, MA, madrigal groups and Northeastern District Jr Chorus, as well as operas and theater productions through high-school.   She studied voice & diction in New York City’s HB Studios and earned a B.A. degree in Theater at University of New Hampshire.  For many years Jackie wrote and directed musical circus performances for the Pine Hill Waldorf School as its Movement Specialist, and is the author of DIY Circus Lab (A Family-Friendly Guide for Juggling, Balancing, Clowning, and Show-Making).  In 2018-2019 Jackie was Interim Choir Director for the Congregational Church of Temple, NH.  She plays accordion, piano, percussion and recorder.

Amy Conley, Interim Music Co-Director

Amy Conley plays piano, banjo, guitar/uke, percussion.  She has been a songleader, performer and teacher for over 40 years (at churches, rallies, camps, schools, festivals) for people of all ages and has recorded three CD’s for children.  Amy belongs to The People’s Music Network, The Children’s Music Network, and the Association for UU Music Ministries.

 

 

 

 

 

Jamie Ferrier, Office & Faith Formation Programs Administrator

Jamie joined UUCM as the Office & Faith Formation Programs Administrator in August 2015. She attended the University of Vermont, where she received her bachelor’s in mathematics. She has worked in several fields, including medicine, statistical research, and hospitality, in addition to owning her own art business. She spends most of her time with her partner, Milan, and her daughter, Evalina, creating art, or gardening. Jamie really enjoys serving the UUCM community.

 

 

Sue Wahlen, Custodian

Sue Wahlen has been working at our church since April 2005, keeping UUCM spotless and continually moving furniture to accommodate the many meetings and activities scheduled weekly.
