Finances

Creating a budget to support the work of our congregation requires time, talent and, of course, the treasure of the many members and friends of our congregation who so generously pledge their hard-earned monies so that we may continue to have a thriving community.  Though we have faced challenges on the income side of our balance sheet in recent years, we have benefitted from the careful stewardship of our funds in the past which lead to the accumulation of a significant cash reserve in our operating account.  More recently we have needed to draw down some of these reserves to balance our budgets and this is reflected in the more recent budget summaries you will find here.

It is our hope that with income from our recently enlarged endowment and with membership growth we can return to a pattern of balanced budgets which will include generous support for the denomination, well supported religious education programs, continued and increased community engagement and social action as well as the ability to provide our staff members with good wages and benefits.
